Meet our team of deeply passionate, highly qualified wagonmasters who enjoy leading our guests into the adventure and lifelong memories and friendships that come with traveling in our small group caravans!
Christopher & Lindsay, Baja Amigos Operators, Lead Wagonmasters
Chris and Lindsay Harvey, founders of Called To Wander and RVingBaja.com, have been traveling to Baja since 2019. They have spent 5-6 months each year since falling more and more in love with the people, places and adventures that can be found throughout the peninsula.
This love for all things Baja has led them to write a Guide Book, start a Facebook Group and build a website dedicated to helping RVers and campers make the most of their Baja adventures while respecting the Mexican culture, landscapes and wildlife.
Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Chris and Lindsay, along with their 2 Australian Cattle Dogs, Everest and Huckleberry, have been full-time RVers since 2018, traveling tens of thousands of miles across the North American continent trying to encourage, inspire and inform others to pursue what they call Abundant Life on the Road.
While managing their websites, YouTube channel and other social media outlets is their priority, they also spend time throughout the year working in a variety of places, mostly in the American West.
Each year, they lead the annual “Wander to Baja” caravan, which tends to be the most popular tour and first to sell out.
Freddie “Boom Boom” Washington, Wagon Master
Freddie has spent over 30 years in administrative management in the legal field, and now spends most of his time in Baja. Freddie, an American and Baja veteran, has driven the peninsula for 30 consecutive years. Growing up in southern California along the Mexican border, he is very familiar with Mexican customs and culture. A long-time member of the Vagubundos del Mar Travel Club, Freddie joins Baja Amigos with years of experience leading tours and organizing events on Baja.
Dan & Lisa first met Freddie on Baja in 2017 and knew he had the “right stuff” and would be a good fit for Baja Amigos. Freddie is a world traveler and has experienced life on a number of continents. His hobbies include fishing, hunting and photography, and he now lives full-time in Loreto, BCS.
Tiffani
Baja Amigos is proud to introduce our newest wagon master, Tiffani, to the Baja Amigos Caravan RV Tours team. Tiffani completed her first touring season with glowing reviews!
What started as a love for adventure has turned into a dream opportunity for her. Tiffani recently retired after 14 years as a successful small business owner (grooming, training and boarding dogs), which coincided with her youngest child graduating high school.
She inquired about becoming a wagon master after having a life-changing experience as a guest with Baja Amigos. After training with both Chris and Lindsay and Freddie, Tiffani set off to lead her first tour with the enthusiasm, love for Baja and genuine concern for her guests that stands out among our team.
While she may be new to Baja Amigos, Tiffani isn’t new to exploring and leading people-she’s been doing that all her life. Growing up in Southern California, she spent much of her high school years traveling to Baja with friends. Tiffani’s love for adventure and life-long conservation brings a fresh and infectious passion for those who seek all that the Baja Peninsula offers: tasty food, amazing culture, friendly people and breathtaking encounters with nature.
Tiffani is an aquaholic! Her hobbies include: SCUBA (all things water), photography, watercolor painting, beach combing, making gourmet food to share with friends, and traveling with her furkids, Kermit & Beans. Her most recent accomplishment, after 14 months of design, teardown to ribs and rebuild, is the completion of the buildout of her sprinter van, which she affectionately calls the land yacht “Beluga.”
Scott, Wagonmaster
Scott McEwen is a native Californian, born and raised in Southern California. Scott and his wife, Sherry, have resided for the past 30 years on their small ranch in the Sierra foothills north of Bakersfield.
Scott retired from the California Department of Corrections as a Warden after a 28-year career.
Scott’s first trip to Baja was in the early 1960s with kids from the local YMCA, riding in the back of a truck, camping on the beach south of Ensenada. There, he was bitten by the Baja bug and has made Baja and Mexico his getaway place ever since.
Scott has led numerous RV caravans for the Vagabundos del Mar travel club and is an avid fisherman.
He continues to be an active member of Vagabundos and is currently the Vice-President of the club. Scott travels with his trusty sidekick, Della, a rescue dog who is also a Baja veteran. Unfortunately, Scott’s wife is not able to travel with him due to health and family concerns.
Scott is very friendly and approachable, always is search of the best Baja taco. The search continues with every trip, always grateful for another opportunity.
