Our wagon master, Freddie Washington, was an awesome, resourceful, caring, calm problem solver and caravan leader, keeping us safe and secure during our tour. His personal knowledge of the Baja peninsula and highways was most helpful. We had two issues on the trip, brake pads needing replacement and RV mirror taken off by a semi-truck. Freddie accomplished securing repairs on both by local service folks at our camp sites the evening of the incident.
The hand held radios supplied to each of us was essential for our safety and communication on the narrow roads, especially for we big rigs. Freddie did a great job of alerting us to oncoming semi and other traffic, while the rear RV in our caravan alerted us to passing traffic.
Loved San Ignacio, El Triunfo, Loreto, and Campestre Maranatha. The Baja California peninsula is more beautiful and diverse than I imagined. And Mexican people are wonderfully helpful, friendly, hardworking, and resourceful.
