We had a great time on our trip. We were surprised by the extremes of weather.
We enjoyed this adventure and would happily recommend it to others. Smaller rigs are much easier to park in the campgrounds, ours is a 32’ class C with no tow and we had no issues. Roads can be well maintained or full of potholes necessitating slower speeds and care. Navigation is always best left to the Wagon-Masters!!! Mexican people were friendly, helpful, accommodating. We never felt fearful or in danger. Thank you Dan & Lisa for a well-planned out tour.
Totonaka RV Park in San Carlos had good facilities, clean bathrooms, and hot showers. We Carpooled to scenic outlook of the beach at the Mirador. Highly recommended! We enjoyed a shrimp dinner across from the beach.
Gustavo was our guide to the Copper Canyon and was excellent!!! This is the second time we have visited the Copper Canyon, we saw some new sights, very much enjoyed this area and the two lodges we stayed at.
We stayed at Baraka’s in Mazatlán and enjoyed the facility and visiting the area and the restaurant onsite on our return visit. The Guanajuato RV Park worked well with hookups and friendly owners, although nothing special as a campground it put us close to town and our campground owner traveled along as the English guide for our city tour. Lots of museums to visit and we as always we needed more time for this very picturesque city.
Our visit to San Miguel de Allende included a Revolution Day Parade taking place which was a pleasant surprise and great to view, we all voted to skip the trolley tour and walk around the town instead-very picturesque indeed. This was Dennis’ favorite town. We carpooled to Delores Hidalgo to tour the pottery factory and shop-this was Valorie’s favorite stop. Jose is the son in law who runs the pottery store and speaks English. We visited the church in Atotonilco on our way back to the campground which was very interesting and has history with the start of the revolution and the Virgin of Guadalupe.
The trip to Mexico City and Tepotzotlan was well worth it as we had excellent hosts and campground. Within walking distance of the old downtown and museum.
Victor was our guide for Mexico City, very knowledgeable. Best Western Majestic Hotel and the Double decker bus tour good. Guided tour of Teotihuacan Pyramids was wonderful with Felix as guide.
Patzcuara had a very nice campground, drop off laundry across street, within walking distance of stores. Alejandro was our guide to Morelia and other lake towns-knowledgeable, friendly, good English speaker, recommend highly. Villa Corona has a good campground and but has small spaces and the Water park used by all. Birding good on lake shore and the Restaurant was open.
La Manzanilla was wonderful and we all loved Boca Beach and a restaurant next door featuring Thai food. Great Market there on Friday and the group enjoyed viewing the Mexican crocodile sanctuary also. At the La Penita RV Park we personally had a great RV location overlooking the water and many friendly snow birds onsite. Daily laundry pickup available as was the pool, restaurant and many activities onsite. It was an easy 10” walk to town via the beach.
We enjoyed the Hotel Cortez and RV Park for our “Good Bye Dinner” in Guaymas. A lot of character in this old hotel and patio view were great. Good hookups and a very nice farewell dinner.
*We appreciate that you responded personally to our suggestions and are confident the changes will make a great trip better. Thank you, Dan & Lisa
