April 25, 2011 – While we know most of the residents have hit the beach across Baja, here we sit in the cold and rain back in Metro-Vancouver (Yes Saturday was very nice!) We had Easter dinner yesterday with friends and family, folks we have not seen for months. The most often asked question; was it safe? and comments like; Glad to see you made it home in one piece! The irony is while we enjoying everyone’s company and at the edge of our seats watching the Canucks, 2 young men were being stabbed just blocks away at the local High School where all our kids graduated. This morning I was walking our dogs up at the playing field and there was yellow police tape, crime scene shelters and 2 RCMP cruisers in the parking lot.
And folks are concerned about our safety when we are Mexico; go figure eh ?
