February 19, 2012 – Well we have one more full day in Cabo San Lucas before we start our trek northbound once again and the group is having a blast! We had a good time in San Jose Del Cabo yesterday, lots of shopping and site seeing in the old town, Judy will be happy to know I found her Turtle and Baja Charm! This morning we have a few brave souls who are heading out to go swimming at Playa Santa Maria, the reported ocean water temperature is 69 F or 20.5 C, sounds chilly, although not likely as cold as the Vagabundos pool where I went swimming yesterday.
Dinner at Joe & Peter’s Restaurant in the park was excellent as always, lots fun, laughing and good food, many had the Special Mexican Coffee including me, very tasty indeed. We later sat around and roasted marshmallows dipped in Kahlua, yes they were tasty! Once again we were able to enter the Mona Lisa Restaurant patio and take some spectacular photos of the bay and the famous Los Arcos, I really appreciate the opportunity to show folks this spectacular view.
Prior to arriving in Los Cabos we have a great visit in El Triunfo and overnight stay in Rancho Verde. We all took a tour of the Piano Museum and were fortunate to find Senor Nicholas Castro “In The House” , he played several classical pieces which the group enjoyed immensely. Some folks stayed for lunch and everyone purchased Mark’s bread from the El Triunfo Cafe. What a dramatic change of scenery and experience, from Rancho Verde to Los Cabos!
