291 km/181 miles – We should arrive at our next loaction around lunch time as we continue our journey southbound on Hwy 15D as we return to the coast. Our drive will take us past Culican to our final destination, Celestino Gasca a seaside village community, north of Mazatlán and across the Sea of Cortez from San José del Cabo on Baja. We will be stopping for body breaks and a fuel stop along the way. We are headed for Villa Celeste Resort RV Park (GPS 23.80667 N, 106.88000 W), south of the village and will be here for the next 3 nights. This RV Park has been around for years and is offers all the amenities including a pool. Sunsets are always worth admiring and at night, the stars shine brightly in front of the Pacific, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere.
In addition to the beach, you can visit the Labradas. Between the sea and the sand are located more than 700 petroglyphs, rock engravings on volcanic rocks. Among the figures that are found there are people, animals, geometric figures and other enigmatic elements. According to research, these engravings were made around 740 and 1250 AD.C. However, it is possible that some belong to the archaic era, we are talking about the year 3000 BC.
