The US State Department has issued numerous travel advisories concerning visits to Mexico. As we discussed in a previous post —Which parts of Mexico are currently subject to US travel advisories?— the advisories focus on specific areas of Mexico. Unfortunately, many potential tourists overlook the geographic specificity and get the impression that all parts of Mexico are dangerous. Previous posts clearly indicate that levels of drug war violence vary enormously from place to place in Mexico.

We Sure Could Use BAJA Weather!
July 15, 2011 – Another day of rain and it is mid-July, this is brutal, where is our summer? I know we are whining as we did return on April 10th so what do I really have to complain about? Although the next 14 days are only calling for a couple of days rain, it is forecasting below normal and if the pattern continues we will receive more rainy days then are currently being predicted.

June 19, 2011 –Good morning everyone, for all you Fathers out there take the time to enjoy your family today. My Dad past away a couple of years ago at 90 years old and I still think about him often. He was born at the end of World War I and raised during the great depression in Burnaby, BC. This experience during his formative years shaped his outlook on life and the values he embraced.
