January 18, 2013 – Yes today is my birthday, the big 58, hard to believe it is only 2 more years and I can collect my TWU pension, I look forward to that for sure. We are now in the Rancho Verde Campground located at km 142 on Hwy 1, one day we will have a leased property here.

January 14, 2013 – This morning we head up to the 2nd oldest Spanish mission in the Baja, San Francisco Javier, was initially founded by the Jesuit missionary Francisco María Piccolo on May 11, 1699 at a spring called Viggé Biaundó by the native Cochimí, about 8 kilometers north of the mission’s subsequent location.

January 10, 2013 – Well we arrived Guerrero Negro yesterday afternoon from Catavina with our January tour, finally starting to get some warm, even hottish weather. Everyone is very pleased to be heading south as our Potrero rendezvous was sunny but cold, brrrrrr!

January 3, 2013 – After Christmas Lisa and I decided we needed to check out Hwy 5, San Felipe and beyond heading south. We have always heard plenty about this region however we have never actually been there. The road that currently connects to Mex 1 just south of Catavina is suitable only for a 4 wheel drive.
