By Baja Big Fish Company: ” This is a day out on the water with my family watching blue whales off Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Its what I managed to get on film. When my memory card was full the last blue whale in this film was diverted toward our boat when three other boats arrived on its other side. We were just floating in the water. The whale then dove under the front of our boat, turned on its side and its eye met ours. Meanwhile I hugged my kids while we stood on the front platform of the boat and above this whale. It slowly and gently slid through the water waving its ventral fin at us and showing off the entire length of its body, only a few feet below us. Then its large fluke pushed it off as it passed us and dove. Its blue color faded as it went down.”
