November 22, 2012 – We arrived at Rancho Verde yesterday about 3:30 pm, a long day given we only drove from from Playa Tecolote, about 105 km or just over 60 miles. We stopped at a different fuel stop on the bypass around La Paz, and a different grocery store just on the outskirts of La Paz off Hwy 1, this worked well and will be part of the 45 tour into the future.
Week 2 – The Baja Adventure Continues
November 15, 2012 – Well today we drove up to San Javier with the gang, everyone enjoyed the excursion and this was an adventure for sure. I am happy to report another 10 km of road has been paved and another 5km in construction, yeah! Unfortunately hurricane Paul did significant damage to the existing paved road up to the Mission and will take some time to make the repairs, 3 steps ahead, 1 back, oh well.
Week 1 – Baja Hot & Green
November 13, 2012 – We met our new Baja Amigos on November 1st in Potrero, CA and it has been a very warm first week for sure, traveling across the desert from Guerrero Negro to San Ignacio the temperature hit 37c.
Auto Draft
Happy Halloween from Alta California
October 31, 2012 – After leaving San Francisco (Sylvia made it home safely) From Pacifica we continued on Highway 1, very scenic for sure and much calmer then the narrow switchback section we encountered north of San Francisco. We had heard from our Baja friends Frank & Carol about Colonel Allenworth State Historic Park not far from Bakersfield so we made that our destination, an easy drive.
