349km/217m – Our destination today is Boca Beach Camping and RV Park (GPS 19.30778 N, 104.81778 W) 5km/3m north of the village of La Manzanilla. Shortly after leaving Villa Corona we head over to toll Hwy 54D, this is an enjoyable drive and we should arrive mid-afternoon. Our journey has us drop from 4500 ft (1400 m) to sea level to Hwy 200 and head northwest past Mazanillo, Barra de Navidad and San Patricio-Melaque. Boca Beach is located on the beautiful Tenacatita Bay and the beach is a very popular winter home for many RVers over the winter. La Manzanilla is a short drive or 20 minute walk down the beach. We have nothing planned but rest, relaxation and fun in the sun! This is a full service RV park.
La Manzanilla is a Mexican seaside village located in the southeastern corner of the Bay of Tenacatita, on the Costalegre of southwestern mainland Mexico in the state of Jalisco. “Manzanilla” is Spanish for chamomille. Many of the residents are employed in fishing, local palapa restaurants, small hotels, and grocery stores is 3.5 hours south of Puerto Vallarta and one hour north of Manzanillo by car. It has a population of about 300 American crocodiles in the nearby nature sanctuary.
