March 12, 2011-We left Fidel’s on March 11th at 8:15 am just as the earthquake hit Japan, everyone was shocked to learn about the devastation and loss of life from the quake and resulting tsunami. We are not aware of any resulting damage on the Baja west coast although we understand some public alarm was raised. The temperature has cooled down a bit here in Guerrero Negro, however that has not curbed anyone’s enthusiasm for watching Grey Whales tomorrow morning at 8:00 am. We met lots of friends at Catavina and our drive to Guerrero Negro the next day was uneventful, hardly any traffic as usual. Everyone enjoyed tacos at Tony’s, the tour of town and dinner at Malarrimo’s. The newest group of Baja Amigos are bonding well as every day bring new adventure and experiences.
