January 30, 2011 – We are heading back now to the US to pick up our next RV Caravan, departing February 5th from Potrero. We found Baja warmer than usual and a little less windy, always an added pleasure for sure. We really enjoyed meeting new friends and renewing acquaintances with old friends. We want to thank all our Baja Amigos, Tony & Ursula, Rob & Terry and Tony & Antonio for their hospitality and look forward to seeing every one again in March. It was great to meet Dave & Jean again and meeting George & Lea and Peter & Pat for the first time. We had an opportunity to kayak with a pod of dolphins for awhile (until they tired of us), saw deer for the first time south of Catavina and witnessed first hand the ingenuity of Mexicans turning “challenge into achievement” when they cleared a tractor trailer off highway Mex 1 that had flipped over (no one badly hurt) with some chains and a couple of tractor trailers. What would have taken hours back home took just over an hour!
Can’t wait to head back down for more adventure and warm weather.
