This was a once in a lifetime experience. Most travel days were long, there is a lot to see and distances were long. The Baja Amigos 45-Day Tour Book was extremely helpful! Especially the coordinates and being able to read up on the next destination and go into the culture deeper if you wanted to.
Copper Canyon Train was great, although we think that stopping at Divisadero and saving the day for another time used for Creel would have been fine. The Sunday buffet at Hotel Morales in Guadalajara was excellent! Loved the little town of Tequila, especially enjoyed the quinceanera party we met there. Theo had a bad back problem for the Guanajuato stop so we missed the tour which, I hear, was great.
We loved the talavera pottery factory and all the pieces we bought so cheaply there. . Wish we would have had another day in Mexico City (possibly the Creel day referenced above?). . The National Museum in Tepotzatlan was impressive, especially the golden altars to say nothing of the biggest crucified Jesus I’ve ever seen outside. The Patzcuaro tour was great, especially his explanation of the huge mural about the area’s history. Really enjoyed touring the craft villages around Patzcuaro and buying souvenirs.
We want to thank you for organizing an amazing adventure, one that we are very happy to have taken!
