DAY 14-16: Los Cabos

Day 14-16: Los Cabos

(192 km approx.)

Our drive today will take us around the west cape to the Pacific Ocean on the Mex 19 highway. On the way we will cross the Tropic of Cancer and our tour includes a  stop in Todos Santos where Baja Amigos will host  a lunch stop at a legendary Taco Stand. You will see Playa Los Cerritos where many RVers still SnowBird for the winter.  For the next 3 nights we will be staying at an excellent RV Park in Los Cabos.  During our stay we will be visiting the cultural center of San Jose Del Cabo, Playa Medano, Bahia Santa Maria and much more. Cabo San Lucas offers many optional tours to places like the famous Arch and Lover’s Beach accessible by boat (reasonable rates) and Deep Sea Fishing (Marlin).  Baja Amigos also include excursions to La Europa, Lattitude 22 Roadhouse, The Glass Factory and Sunset de Mona Lisa and lots of shopping!

During our first visit in 1985 Cabo San Lucas was still a relatively small town.  At that time the four lane highway between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo had only commenced construction for a couple of kilometres beginning from Cabo San Lucas.  There was literally nothing in between the two towns other then the many RV communities on the beach (the last one Shipwreck Beach closed in 1991).  When we took the ferry from Cabo San Lucas to Puerto Vallarta on the mainland, the terminal was out of town, this service ended years ago in 1989.
